Euskadi. Están realizando un viaje de la teoría a la práctica en todos los campus de Mondragon Unibertsitatea. Por ejemplo, en la Escuela Politécnica Superior han tomado medidas para acercarse a la economía circular. Han puesto en marcha una aplicación comercial llamada Ciclo Green para fomentar la movilidad sostenible y no la utilizan solo los alumnos y los trabajadores de la Escuela Politécnica Superior de Mondragon Unibertsitatea. Comparten la iniciativa las personas que trabajan en las cooperativas situadas en los alrededores. Por ejemplo se han realizado cambios en la configuración de todos los ordenadores de la escuela para reducir el consumo. En el centro hay unos 600 ordenadores, así que el ahorro no será pequeño. Desde el punto de vista de los objetivos de sostenibilidad se han cambiado las luminarias de toda la escuela a la tecnología LED, se han colocado sensores y se han instalado placas fotovoltaicas en el tejado. La sostenibilidad también ha sido determinante a la hora de construir el nuevo edificio destinado a impulsar el emprendimiento industrial. En Edertek que ensayan, entre otros, los procesos que se implantarán en la fábrica basándose en la sostenibilidad. De hecho, las empresas de automoción son una industria con un alto impacto ambiental debido al elevado uso de materias primas y energía. En el caso de Fagor Ederlan ya han comenzado a caminar por el camino de la descarbonización. En el camino hacia la descarbonización Fagor Ederlan cuenta con el apoyo de Mondragon Unibertsitatea a través de la herramienta Sux. Esta herramienta sirve para analizar la circularidad y sostenibilidad ambiental de los procesos industriales y proyectos de innovación.
