publicó este lunes 8 de junio «Blockchain en la Universidad», quinta edición del informe TIC 360º, dedicado ahora a la tecnología emergente de registros distribuidos o cadena de bloques, conocida como Blockchain. Las aplicaciones de este sistema que las universidades españolas comenzaron a implementar en 2018 con la creación de la red BLUE (Blockchain Universidades Españolas) pueden revolucionar la forma de entender la gestión y emisión de los títulos, lo que cobra un valor extraordinario en estos tiempos. <br><br>Según el coordinador de este trabajo, el presidente de Crue TIC y rector de la Universidad de Jaén, D. Juan Gómez Ortega, esta tecnología puede ser empleada como una nueva forma de emitir, verificar y validar las credenciales de la formación universitaria de una forma más completa y sustituir al diploma académico tradicional, que ha sido durante generaciones el único mecanismo de acreditación de la educación universitaria para optar al mercado de trabajo. «El currículum académico que es valorado para acceder al ámbito laboral tiende a ser configurado como una compilación de formación, competencias y habilidades cuyas acreditaciones estarán sujetas a procesos de validación que deben adaptarse a esta nueva estructura curricular», explica Gómez Ortega en la introducción de esta publicación. Además, avisa de que, en una sociedad orientada cada vez más a la digitalización, los mecanismos que permitan garantizar la veracidad de estas credenciales «deben incorporar procesos digitales que los investigadoras de las universidades de Barcelona, Murcia, Miguel Hernández de Elche, Granada y la UNED-- ha publicado el «Estudio sobre el impacto psicológico de la COVID-19 y el confinamiento en la población». La investigación, basada en encuestas a 6.829 personas, de entre 18 y 92 años, de todas las comunidades autónomas, concluye que el 46% padece un aumento en su malestar psicológico general, un porcentaje mayor en el caso de las personas afectadas por la COVID-19, las mujeres y los más jóvenes. En una proporción similar (44%), los encuestados admiten que ha disminuido su optimismo y confianza, un sentimiento que es más acusado en mujeres y en aquellas que han perdido el empleo o han padecido la enfermedad; el 78% reconoce que ha visto incrementada la sensación de incertidumbre; el 76% de los mayores de 60 años aseguran que tienen miedo de contraer la enfermedad, mientras que el 83% siente que continuarán realizando movilidad física internacional para el próximo año académico 2020-2021, a pesar de las restricciones que aún puedan existir como consecuencia de la pandemia de la COVID-19, Además, el SEPIE señala que la Comisión Europea está estudiando la posibilidad de las movilidades mixtas, conocidas como «blended mobilities», en el caso de los estudiantes Erasmus+, tanto en proyectos de movilidad (KA1) como en proyectos de Asociaciones Estratégicas (KA2). La Comisión Nacional Evaluadora de la Actividad Investigadora (CNEAI) ha analizado 15.388 expedientes (94% del total), de los que el 41,8% ha obtenido una calificación positiva (6.444) y el 58% restante no ha superado la evaluación (8.944). Entre las conclusiones de esta encuesta destaca que el 80% de los centros cree que esta crisis va a afectar al número de matrículas del próximo curso y casi la mitad (46%) estima que impactará en estudiantes nacionales e internacionales. En cuanto a los gobiernos, dos tercios de las instituciones participantes en la encuesta afirma que se han puesto en contacto con ellas para consultarles el desarrollo de políticas públicas relativas a la COVID-19 y casi la mitad (48%) indican les apoyarán para mitigar el impacto negativo de la pandemia, aunque la mayor parte de este respaldo está dirigido a completar el curso académico. El 64% de los encuestados cree que el coronavirus reducirá las asociaciones y colaboraciones entre centros de Educación Superior, mientras que casi un tercio considera que esta crisis creará nuevas oportunidades. <br><br>En cuanto a la enseñanza y el aprendizaje, dos tercios de los participantes indican que la docencia presencial se ha sustituido por otra a distancia, que ha supuesto una serie de retos para las universidades, pero que también ofrece oportunidades para el sector (posibilidades de aprendizaje más flexibles, docencia mixta o híbrida o la combinación de enseñanza síncrona y asíncrona). Isabel Celaá, anunció en el Senado el pasado jueves, 4 de junio, que la nueva Secretaría General de Formación Profesional impulsará la acreditación de competencias profesionales adquiridas mediante la experiencia laboral entre los trabajadores sin titulación. Según explicó, se creará «un procedimiento nuevo para el reconocimiento de las competencias básicas entre la población activa que no las tenga acreditadas por titulación» y se realizarán «ofertas de formación profesional específicas ajustadas a las necesidades de las personas adultas».
