[Ecasig11] Report on the SIG11 Meeting, 8th of august 2012 in Bergen

Dear Members of SIG11,

during the ECM27 in Bergen we held a SIG-meeting. You will find the report on it attached to this e-mail. During the meeting we elected a new steering committee. It is now:

Chair Karen Friese
Co-chair: Leonid Dubrovinsky
Secretary: Yaroslav Filinchuk

We would like to thank our former co-chair Alfonso San Miguel for the great work he did for the SIG.
It was a pleasure working with him!

Further topics discussed during the meeting were related to the ECM28 in Warwick.
Leonid Dubrovinsky was assigned the representative of SIG11 for the programm committee of ECM28.

A series of microsymposia was  suggested for this conference (please see the attached file). However, we will be very  happy to receive additional ideas for further topics from you.

Also, we would like to ask you to suggest possible candidates for keynote speakers.

Please send any suggestions for keynote speakers or microsymposia to any of us (k.friese at fz-juelich.de; leonid.dubrovinsky at uni-bayreuth.de; yaroslav.filinchuk at uclouvain.be).
